Yesterday I finished my skirt!!! <3
It's a panelled knee length skirt, made out of black and white herringbone patterned wool material (what a mouth full haha), with black satin lining and gathered black lace trim attached to the lining. The lace peaks out of the bottom of the skirt.
It is super pretty and stylish, and kinda has a lolita feel to it. :) I LOVE IT!!
Plus, I feel pretty good about myself... knowing that it was all designed, pattern made, and sewn by yours truely. :D

I moved here last saturday and have been living here for a week now. At first it felt really weird living here, I cried cause I missed my Mum and Brother... but I'm slowly getting more used to it.
Moving went well, though when I first started packing I felt a bit crazy! I really hate packing, and moving packing is even worse! But my room is nearly sorted, I've just got a few soft toys I need to find a place for hehe. It looks good, I'll try take a picture of my room in the next couple of days.
Oh yeah, here's something that'll gross ya out! While I was making my bed last week, there was a HUGE white tail spider on one of my blankets! Then I saw another one just outside my room. 2 of them had stowed away in the boxes I had packed. GROOOSS!!! I hate white tails!
Oh and sorry to Wellington people for not texting to hang out, I just didn't feel like seeing anyone if you know what I mean. But if anyone wants to hang out, I'm free anytime after Christmas. And on weekends when I start my course. :) |

I got a call from the course lady yesterday, and I got into the fashion course! I officially start on the 17th of December, but because of holidays and Christmas, I don't actually start until the 7th of January.
So I think the plan is to move here in a weeks time, before Melza and Kris go away, and before Christmas.
It's scary and exciting, and definitely unexpected!

I'm in Wellington atm, though I don't know if it is worth me saying "hey text me if you wanna hang out Gemms or Anya!", because I'm only going to be here maybe another day and I'm guessing you're both probably busy working anyway. But we'll see, I might stay longer and go home after the weekend.
I'll actually be visiting again in a couple of weeks, Melza and Kris are going away for Christmas, so I'm gonna look after Manny (the kitty cat). So it will be cool to see my Wellington friends, otherwise I'll just have Manny for company over Christmas and it gets a bit lonely in Wellington by myself.
Something funny happened on the train ride here, the ticket guy asked if I was at school haha. And when I told him I was 26 he didn't believe me at first and then said he wouldn't have thought I'd be a day over 18. Hehehe! That seems to happen to me alot, people always think I'm 18 or 19. :D
Oh! Also, I think I'll be moving here in January sometime!
Well, I'm off to the shop for yum foods! :)

About 4 months ago I applied for a Fashion and sewing course in Wellington, they teach you sewing and pattern making which is something I really want to learn.
Then 2 weeks ago I got a callback that there was a placement available, but I had to wait until she heard back from this other girl, and if the other girl didn't take it - then I'd get the placement.
Well anyway, she got back to me last week and the other girl took it. :( So I have to wait until early next year for another one. *sigh*
Sooo, I'm thinking I'll move to Wellington in January cause I can't be bothered moving so close to all the Christmas craziness! My Sister and her bf Kris said I could live with them for awhile until I get settled, I know it's silly but the thought of flatting with complete strangers in a new city freaks me out!
Looking forward to moving and living with my Sis! |

Does anyone remember playing Sierra's King's Quest and Space Quest games?
Recently Sierra re-released them to work on XP, and I just bought the complete collections of both! :D
Yay! I can't wait to get them, they were my favourite adventure games on the computer when I was a kid. *happy* |
